Join us for a performance of music by two giants of the Baroque period. The Bach Magnificat in D will be performed by the 70 voice Concert Singers of Cary Chorale along with The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. The original version included several additional Christmas texts inserted at various points in the piece. Some years later he revised it, removing the Christmas interpolations to make the piece suitable for use throughout the year. The Chorale women will present the Pergolesi Stabat Mater, written for two part women’s chorus and soloists.
