The Concert Singers of Cary with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle

Join The Concert Singers of Cary for a cameo appearance in Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt, as part of The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle’s program “Music and the Bizarre.”

Peer Gynt Op. 23 is the incidental music to the Henrik Ibsen play of the same name. Written by Grieg in 1875, the music has since been adapted and used in numerous musical arrangements and movie soundtracks, including D.W. Griffith’s film “Birth of a Nation” and Duke Ellington’s “Swinging Suites” album.

The Chamber Orchestra’s performance features narration by David Hammond, former Artistic Director of PlayMakers Repertory Company.

Tickets can be purchased at The Carolina Theatre Box Office in person from 11:00am–6:00pm M-F, or by phone at 919-560-3030. Admission is $25 for adults and free for students.
