Dear Friends and Patrons of the Concert Singers of Cary:
Our day-to-day lives have changed drastically in a very short period of time due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, despite those changes — and in many ways because of them — we need music and the arts now more than ever to lift us up, give us joy, and offer respite from the challenges we face.
Our Board of Directors and our Artistic Director, Dr. Nathan Leaf, are carefully assessing the remainder of our 2019-20 concert season. We will communicate any updates to our performance schedule through email, social media, and on our website (concertsingers.org).
One annual activity that we are proud to continue is selection of this year’s Fuller Blunt Memorial Scholarship recipient. Our scholarship committee is currently reviewing applications for this award of $1,000 to a graduating North Carolina high school senior who will be majoring in music as an undergraduate.
For 29 years, the Concert Singers of Cary has offered programs designed to elevate, provoke and entertain our audiences, and to promote musical growth within our membership. As we monitor the ongoing pandemic situation, the Board of Directors is examining options to ensure our organization can meet its mission of enriching the community and supporting the performing arts through outstanding choral music for years to come.
We will be back in touch in the near future. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support of the Concert Singers of Cary and other performing arts organizations in Cary and the greater Triangle area. Please stay safe, and we look forward to lifting your spirits through choral singing again soon.
Yours in music,
Megan V. Brachtl
