Something Wicked This Way Comes

Join us for our first concert of our 35th season: Something Wicked This Way Comes at 8pm on Nov 1st at the Cary Arts Center (101 Dry Ave).

Get your tickets to this haunting and spine-tingling concert before they sell out!

The program includes the Witches’ Scene from Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Bigler’s setting of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Bells, and Hugo Distler’s The Fire Rider. From eerie classics to chilling new works, this Halloween concert promises a thrilling musical journey into the mysterious, silly, and macabre.

We are thrilled to feature ‘Opera on Tap Raleigh’ and stories of Cary’s haunted history with Dr. Katherine Loflin. Dr. Loflin, in particular, will be a delight as she brings us stories of the ghostly, eerie and supernatural, from historic Cary tales. We are honored for Dr. Loflin to fright and delight us with her expertise as the History Ambassador for the Town of Cary and Vice Chair of Cary’s Historic Preservation Commission.

Additionally, our guest conductors are Dr. Lindsey Bruner Woodcock and Mark Woodcock! You can read their bios and see their portraits here.

Concert tickets (general admission) are $27 for adults and $7 for students (pre-K thru 12). You can purchase them via Etix.com or at the Cary Theatre box office. Get more details on the program and tickets here.
