Join us for an evening of music by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi as well as women composers from the Baroque.

Vivaldi was initially ordained as a priest, and known locally as “the Red Priest” because of his red hair.  His clergy career was short-lived, as Vivaldi followed his passion for music and become one of the greatest Baroque composers. His Dixit Dominus is a setting of Psalm 109 that celebrates the promised triumph of good over evil. It rivals Vivaldi’s much-loved Gloria for exuberance and splendor.
