There’s something for everyone in this concert! It includes music by modern composers including Aaron Copland, John Corigliano, and Shawn Kirchner, and features the poetry of Dylan Thomas and Langston Hughes. The pieces range from quiet choral melodies to gospel songs and American folk tunes.

||Jennifer Seiger is pleased to return as a soloist with the Concert Singers of Cary after having sung Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi’s Dixit Dominus last season.She is an active performer who has been featured with the NC Opera (Carmen, Approaching Ali), NC Symphony (Pops Concert Series), NC Ballet (Pulcinella, A Midsummer Night’s Dream), NC Master Chorale (Dido and Aeneas, Fern Hill, In the Beginning), Tar River Orchestra and Chorus (Rossini Stabat Mater, Mozart Requiem, Beethoven Choral Symphony and Mass in C) and Long Leaf Opera (Trouble in Tahiti).
Ms. Seiger is also a sought after choral collaborator working with professional chamber ensembles in the area including Voices of a New Renaissance (VOANR) and the Raleigh Bach Soloists. She is a staff singer with the Duke Evensong Singers and will sing the alto solos in the Duruflé Requiem in November.
She looks forward to the summer of 2018 when the Evensong Singers will be in residence in the UK at Gloucester Cathedral and sing services at Westminster Abbey.
