On May 10 we wrapped up another strange and challenging season: masks (always masks!), frequently changing rehearsal locations and times, singing spaced out so far we couldn’t hear each other, singers having to miss due to Covid illness or exposure, delayed rehearsal starts and changed concert dates.
So many challenges…and yet, we made it! As our Artistic Director Nathan Leaf put it: “The entire season was a statement of hope for better times to come.”
Thanks to all of you who supported our efforts to perform engaging and inspiring choral music this season. From the sold-out Holiday Pops concert to the lovely Songs & Sonnets performance, we couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re taking a break for the summer, but are already making plans for an exciting and full season next year. Right now, that includes four concerts and the return of the Cary Big Sing! Stay tuned for more info, and thanks again for being part of our “family.”
BTW, here’s a brief article on our May Songs & Sonnets concert: https://downtowncarync.org/2022/05/10/a-blend-of-music-and-literature/
