Announcing Our 2017-18 Season!

Dr. Nathan Leaf and the CSC will present the following performances and collaborations as the core of our Season Programming. We invite you to join us!

Saturday, October 14, 2017
Concert Singers will perform as a part of Cary Diwali Festival 2017 sponsored by Hum Sub, Cary NC. The Cary Diwali festival will be held at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary NC.

Saturday, October 28, 2017: Choose Something Like a Star Concert and Gala
Conducted by and honoring retiring Artistic Director Larry Speakman. The Symphonic Choir will perform Randall Thompson’s Frostiana, which was the first work performed by the Concert Singers in 1991. Presented at the Cary Arts Center at 6:00 pm, the Gala Event will include a Silent Auction, catered reception and special appearance of choir alumni presenting a commemorative piece honoring Larry and Ingrid Speakman.

Sunday, December 10, 2017: Holiday Pops
The Symphonic Choir with the Moonlighters Orchestra at the Cary Arts Center. Join the CSC and the Moonlighters at 3:00 pm for an uplifting and festive presentation of favorite Holiday music for all ages.

Saturday, December 16, 2017: Messiah
The Chamber Choir performs portions of Messiah with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra at 7:30 pm at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex. This celebrated annual collaboration offers a unique presentation of the Messiah, set in the intimate space of the Halle Center.

Saturday, March 17, 2018 Sacre Coeur: Sacred Music of Beloved French Composers
The Symphonic Choir and Chamber Choir perform Faure’s Requiem, Durufle’s Messe cum jubilo, and Poulenc’s Litanies a la Vierge Noire at St. Francis United Methodist Church, 2965 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27518 beginning at 7:30 pm.

Saturday, May 12, 2018 Unclouded Day: Music of Reminiscence and Hope
Symphonic Choir and Chamber Choir featuring Corigliano’s Fern Hill and Thompson’s Alleluia. The performance will take place at 7:30 pm at St. Francis United Methodist Church, Cary, NC.
