With the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle
Lorenzo Muti, conducting
The Carolina Theater, Durham

Join The Concert Singers of Cary for a cameo appearance in Edward Grieg’s Peer Gynt, as part of The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle’s program “Music and the Bizarre”.

Peer Gynt, the title character, is a man in search of himself. His problem is that he misunderstands “self-realization” and seeks fulfillment in his poetic dreams because he fears life and love. In order to show the full range of his negative development, Henrik Ibsen shows Peer first as a feckless young man of twenty, then as a middle-aged tycoon, and finally as a broken old man returning to his native Norway.

Tickets can be purchased at The Carolina Theatre Box Office in person from 11:00am–6:00pm M-F, or by phone at 560-3030. They may also be purchased online at ticketmaster.com.
