Concert Singers of Cary is focused on our goal to enrich the regional Research Triangle communities by performing outstanding choral music from all traditions. For over 25 years, we have been recognized for our unique and varied repertoires, creative collaborations with other performing arts organizations, and our community outreach. Our programs are created to elevate, provoke, and entertain our audiences and to promote musical growth within our membership.
Our three choirs include a 100+ voice Symphonic Choir, 70-voice Chorale, and 30-voice Chamber Choir. We hold auditions in August (supplemental auditions are held in January) and weekly rehearsals begin in September. Our season runs from September through May with an average of 8 performances per season. Our members are volunteers, but bring a professional approach to their performances and rehearsals.
We are proud members of the Town of Cary’s Facility Residency Program. We perform in the Cary Arts Center and hold our auditions and meetings in this facility. Through the years, we have collaborated with many performing arts groups in our mission to reach a wide audience and to continue to perform a varied repertoire. Our mission is furthered through generous donations from:
- – our patrons,
- – alumni,
- – grant funding from the Town of Cary, United Arts Council, Lazy Daze and NC
- – corporate sponsorships.
